How Our Foundation Works To Help The Still-Suffering Addict
What We Do
Recovery from substance abuse can be extraordinarily difficult, requiring dedication and persistence to make changes in every aspect of one’s life. Making these changes can be particularly difficult for those stepping down from inpatient rehabilitation or living on the street. All too often, these individuals find themselves returning to homes and neighborhoods overflowing with old triggers and memories of substance abuse. Although Recovery Houses exist to provide living environments that reinforce recovery for these individuals, many who are just stepping down from rehabilitation or are homeless cannot afford initial costs to move into these homes.
The Hay Recovery Foundation provides scholarships to individuals from Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, Holly Hill, and other Volusia County cities who require financial assistance to enter a Recovery House as part of their journey of recovery from substance abuse. We can provide scholarships to addicts who qualify for this program to move into one of our participating Recovery Homes.
Vision
It is our hope that our efforts will motivate these recipients under the belief that there is a way to escape addiction, regardless of an inability to personally obtain an intake fee. We hope to be a part of the chain reaction that may one day reverse the trend that overtakes this country, with drug overdoses claiming the lives of more than 70,000 people every year.

The Hay Recovery Foundation wants to help kick start your journey toward discovering a better life. For many, obtaining a bed within a structured recovery residence is a vital part of the process. We believe firmly that the key to ending the epidemic of addiction is in service to others.

Initial Assessment
Our Foundation will work with you to qualify you as a participant in our scholarship program.
Working Toward a Strategy
Working together, we construct a plan to jump start you into the process of recovery.
Inpatient/Detox Navigation
If detox is needed, we will do our best to guide or refer you towards your next steps.
Recovery House Placement
Our process ends with placement within one of our many participating Recovery Houses
